What are the grape varieties in red Chateau Haut Brion 1999 ?

The grapes in 99' Haut Brion vintage are as follow : 55% merlot, 35% cabernet sauvignon, 10% cabernet franc.

In 1999, winemaker in Haut Brion used more Merlot than usual. Therefore this vintage is a typical Merlot wine.

Color is dark and intense. Nose is delicate, fruity and floral at the same time. Aromas are those of over-ripe fruits.

Haut Brion vineyards are planted with 45% cabernet sauvignon, 37% merlot and 18% cabernet franc.
