Côtes
de Bourg is located on the right bank of the
Dordogne river at the point where it meets the
Gironde river in the Bordeaux region.
South
of Blaye, the small appellation around the village
of Bourg produces a better medium-body red wine than
its neighbor. The wine from Côtes de Bourg is
quite tannic with strong aromas of red fruits.
